The Trappist beers of Westvleteren are without a doubt the most famous ones in the world. This blond beer is actually the less known of the three. The dark beer Westvleteren 10 is elected almost every year as best beer in the world on Ratebeer and another dark beer by the same abbey, Westvleteren 8, is usually in the top 10 as well. Their incredibly popularity, combined with their limited production capacity, has forced the monks to sell their beers only in very limited quantities (1 crate per person) and customers have to go physically to the monastery to pick up their order.
