This beer is the star beer of Brewery Sint-Bernardus in Watou, and it is generally regarded as one of the best beers in the world. The original recipe for this beer still dates back to the days when Westvleteren 12 was brewed in this same brewery, and both beers taste almost exactly the same. Besides this quadruple beer, this brewery brews several top-quality beers including their award-winning St. Bernardus Tripel.
