Mc Chouffe is a dark unfiltered top fermentation beer. It has a fruity, malty and complex flavor and an aftertaste that is very slightly bitter. Mc Chouffe is a scotch style beer and is sometimes referred to as "the Scotch of the Ardennes". It has an alcohol content of 8.5%.

Mc Chouffe is brewed at Brasserie d’Achouffe in Southern Belgium and, although it stands a bit in the shadow of the brewery’s world famous blonde La Chouffe beer, it is very much appreciated by fans of dark and scotch beers.
The history of the Chouffe beers is actually one the success stories of Belgian beers in recent history. It started out about twenty years ago with two hobby-brewers who brewed their first beer, and now these beers are considered to amongst Belgium’s best beers and they are known to beer lovers all across the globe.
