The La Trappe beers are the only ones on this site that are not Belgian. They are brewed in the South of Netherlands at a place called Berkel-Enschot. The Trappist brewery there has existed since 1884 and is called ‘De Koningshoeven’. The abbey is well known for its involvement in the local economy, they own several nearby pubs, where they serve, of course, their famous La Trappe beer. Their product range counts no less than eight different beers, the most famous one is the strong amber beer La Trappe Quadrupel.
