Judas beer has a pale golden color and a bitter-sweet, full and round flavour with distinct hints of citrus. It is a typical Belgian Golden Ale, a blond top fermentation beer that has undergone a second fermentation in the bottle. This beer is brewed by Alken-Maes and it has an alcohol content of 8.5%.
Serving temperature: 6-8°C
‘Golden Ale’ was the name that beerguru Michael Jackson gave to the Duvel beer and other beers in this category. Sometimes this beer style is also referred to as ‘strong pale ale’ or ‘strong blond ale’. It is one Belgium’s most popular beer styles, both within the country as abroad.
This Judas beer is an excellent alternative for people who like Duvel, but who would like to try something new. Besides Judas, there are many other Belgian Golden Ales available: Sloeber by brewery Roman and Satan Gold by Brewery De Block are just two of them.
