Hopus is a golden blond top fermentation beer by Brewery Lefebvre. It pours a thick, creamy head and it has a very fresh aroma with hints of lime. This beer has a full and balanced flavor. It starts of slightly malty with hints of fruits, but then the impressive hoppy bitterness takes over. No less than five different hop varieties were used to brew this beer.
Hopus beer is served in two glasses: a regular 33cl glass for most of the beer and a small glass for the yeast residue at the bottom of the bottle. It is then up to the drinker to decide if he adds the yeast residue to the large glass or not. It has an alcohol content of 8.3%.
Serving temperature: 6-8°C
Hopus beer comes in a very nice swing-top bottle and is brewed by brewery Lefebvre in the small Belgian village of Quenast. This family-owned brewery produces quite a few top beers that are popular far beyond Belgium’s borders. Their most famous beer is, without a doubt, Barbar: a delicious sweet-bitter beer with a very subtle touch honey.
