Bufo is a Belgian high fermentation beer. Bufo is very tasteful for a beer with a relatively low alcohol content by using the rare New Zealand hops Nelson Sauvin, an aroma, which is almost impossible to find in bioversie. The aroma of the hops is described as "breathtaking" with a particularly fruity (citrus, gooseberry, passion fruit, mango, peach) specific to the Sauvignon Blanc grape. The beer comes mainly citrus forward. There are no spices, sugar or other products added.
Serving temperature: 4-6°C
This beer is brewed in Brewery Anders! At Halen commissioned Gageleer. It is a biological blond beer with an alcohol content of 4.8%. Bufo was launched in June 2013. Previously Gageleer sold a beer with less alcohol under the name Belval benefit of a conservation project in Belval-en Argonne (France). To avoid problems with name decided to stop using the name Belval. Instead, choose the name Bufo and the recipe was adapted. Since then, the beer is no longer brewed at the brewery Proefbrouwerij but brewery Anders!
The proceeds of the beer is intended for the purchase of natural reserves for Natuurpunt.
