Malheur Biere Brut is a champage beer. After the first fermentation, the beer undergoes a re-fermentation in the same way as the famous sparkling champagne wine. A perfect mixture between a refined beer and a sparkling wine.
Malheur Biere Brut has a straw, golden colored body with spectacular carbonation and fine bursting champagne bubbles. It has an aroma of orange, apricots and earthy hops. The flavor is fruity, it reminds of green apples and citrus.
It is a rich and exclusive beer, a complex and sparkling beer with an nice head and an elegant aftertaste. It can be drank as an aperitif or after a meal. It has an alcohol content of 11.0%.
Brewery De Landtsheer, where the Malheur beers are brewed, was one the first Belgian brewers to start brewing champagne beer. Besides this beer, they also have a dark champagne beer called Malheur Dark Brut.
