Rochefort 10 is a top fermentation beer, re-fermented in the bottle. This Trappist beer has a dark color and a compact, foamy head. Its taste is full and very, complex with notes of plum, raisin, and blackcurrant. It is brewed in Abbaye Notre-Dame de Saint-Remy in Rochefort. It is Rochefort's most popular beer and it is generally considered to be one Belgium’s very best beers. It has an alcohol content of 11.3%.

The monks at Abbaye Notre-Dame de Saint-Remy in Rochefort have been brewing beer since 1595. In order to do so, they use water from an old well inside the walls of the monastery. There is actually very little known about this abbey, because it is closed to visitors. Their production is quite limited because there are currently only 15 monks left to do the brewing.
Besides their best-seller Rochefort 10, they also brew the lighter Rochefort 8, another dark beer with and alcohol content of 9.2% and Rochefort 6, an amber colored Trappist beer which is brewed only a few times a year.
