Duvelorium Grand Beer Cafe opens its doors in Bruges
Posted November 27 2012Last Sunday, November 25th 2012, Duvelorium Grand Beer Cafe opened its doors on the main square of Bruges. This Cafe is part of a brand new musem called 'Historium'; a museum that lets its vistors relive the Bruges of the Mddle Ages through a series of movies, images, sounds and smells. But more important for us, beer lovers, is that inside this museum there is a unique bar, serving some of Belgium's best beers.
‘Duvelorium Grand Beer Café’ is located on the first floor of this historical site. It offers its vistors a wonderful view on Bruges' main square. Duvelorium is a collaboration between the museum and brewery Duvel Moortgat. There will be a large choice of Belgian beers available : Duvel, Vedett, La Chouffe, De Koninck, Liefmans and many more.
The interior of the cafe was created by a specialized interior design agency, who did their very best to let you relive the medieval atmosphere in the cafe as well. The most important feature is without a doubt its glass-and-lead dome. And by using red copper, leather, bricks and Flemish oak, the designers managed give the vistors of the bar a warm and welcome feeling.

The brewery has also created a special Historium Duvel glass that will only be for sale there. The Cafe and the shop will be open for everyone from 10:00 until 18:00, and on Thursdays until 21:00. The address ; Grote Markt 1, 8000 Brugge.
